Superstar and Kamal confirm their presence!!!

Following the controversial procession and meeting that was held in Ramanathapuram under the stewardship of Bharathiraja to voice against the genocide of Sri Lankan Tamils, Nadigar Sangam has formally announced the date for its protests in Chennai today. Sarathkumar called on the media to that effect today and declared that a one-day fast is scheduled to be held on November 1st in Chennai at Nadigar Sangam.

He also mentioned that the protests are held by way of open invitation and no pressures will be on any members of the Sangam to attend the one-day fast. "We have decided not to make it mandatory after deliberations and it is our hope that all the members will extend their full support," Sarath was quoted as saying. He also mentioned that Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan have confirmed their presence.

Rajini's second gift to Ajith

Super star Rajinikanth has the habit of presenting good books, which are mostly in the genre of spirituality and self development to his friends.

Sometime back, he had gifted 'Living with the Himalayan Masters' by Swami Rama to Ajith, who is said to have liked the book immensely. Now Rajini has presented another book by the same author, Swami Rama – The art of Joyful Living.

Another interesting trivia about Ajith and Aegan is that Superstar and Ilaya Thalapathy had watched the premiere of Aegan and liked the film. It was said that Rajinikanth liked the comedy scenes in the film while action sequences had an appealing effect on Vijay.

As Chennaiites revel in the spirit of Diwali, firecracker manufacturers in the city are cashing in on the latest trends and current affairs that made the headlines this year. On the eve of the festival, they have even come up with a fitting tribute to the dedicated scientists of our country who successfully launched India’s first unmanned mission to the moon — the Chandrayaan 1.

One of the most popular items on sale this year is the rocket pack inspired by the same. Patriotically packaged in a cover with a picture of (brace yourselves), the PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle), it is replete with an illustration of the national flag on its fuselage. Other variants include rockets with illustrations of astronauts on them. NM Kasim, a firecracker vendor at Flower Bazaar says, “The PSLV crackers are quite popular with kids this year. Apart from being reasonably priced, they have a certain novelty and curiosity factor to them as well.” And novelty seems to be the name of the game as even the film stars, whose pictures have adorned the pack ages of these firecrackers have undergone a major overhaul. K Jeyaraj, the proprietor of Kasi Enterprises and a fireworks dealer says, “This year the most popu lar actresses to grace the firecracker packages are Shriya, Nayanthara and Asin compared to last year when Namitha and Khushboo’s pictures were on the cover of almost every other firecracker. It goes with out saying that these stars are one of the main draws, which helps sell the crackers.” K Raghuraman, a civil engineer who was finishing up on the last minute purchases for Diwali says, “Shriya happens to be my favourite actress and it’s an added incentive to have her picture on the firecrackers as well.” But when one speaks about Kollywood, how can Rajinikanth be far behind?

A family pack called Robo – The Almighty, which is inspired by the superstar’s upcoming film, is another hot seller this year. Jeyaraj explains, “The price of raw materials for the crackers shot up by almost 30 to 40 per cent this year. This is reflected in the prices as well. So the manu facturers have to resort to such attractive packaging styles to entice customers into buying them for Diwali.”

Rajnikanth's stunts in Enthiran

Superstar Rajnikanth's Endhiran will have some gravity defying stunt sequences mixed with martial arts, specially choreographed by ace stunt coordinator Woo-Ping Yuen. The 63-year-old stunt coordinator has choreographed some terrific stunt sequences in films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill, and The Forbidden Kingdom.


Rajini is said to be excited that Woo-Ping Yuen has been signed up to supervise the stunt scenes in Endhiran, as he had directed the likes of Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Keanu Reeves and Chow Yun-Fat – all acclaimed for their action films.

With the Chinese stunt coordinator taking the reins of the stunt scenes in Endhiran, we can expect the Superstar in some great action scenes.

SUN TV will telecast Superstar's record breaking Chandramukhi on October 27th. Chandramukhi's record was witnessed by the entire world. It was superstar's highest days movie and also tamil film industry's highest running days (804 days) and also the first movie to run for 100 days in more number of theatres. This record to be broken need a another Rajinikanth to be born.

SUN TV had bought the tv rights of this movie for a whopping price, and they are earning more than that thru advertisement for this diwali. This movie has fetched 20 times more revenue than Baasha another Superstar blockbuster.

Since Sivaji The Boss and Kuselan was not given to SUN TV, they started doing a lot of false acts against these movies, now they are using the same star's movie to make big bucks. What business ethics is this?? Shameless could be a far lesser word to describe this.

DASAVATHARAM film could not get back the DUBBING COST - Times Of India

Today I read an article in Times of India stating about the dubbing films performance in Andhra. In the article it was clearly mentioned that Rajini and Kamal films opening will be good and Padayappa and most Rajini films have become super hits.Indian was the last kamal movie that did well in telugu.

The article also mentioned that Kuselan telugu remake Kathanayakudi was a major flod also pointed our DASAVATHARAM film could not get back the DUBBING COST.

But this film's Aascar Ravi is telling in all media and press that the film was did extra ordinary business and Kamal is only hero who has given maximum number of hits in the cinema.

If we list the number of flops kamal has produced in his career, He might the first person in the history of world cinema.

Best comedian of the year 2008-09 award should go to Aascar Ravi no doubt.
