Superstar lauds Naan Kadavul team

It is well known that the superstar does not hesitate to praise good work and has always been the first to commend excellent films. The superstar watched Naan Kadavul, which was screened exclusively for him. Impressed by the film, Rajni invited Bala and Arya to his residence to discuss the movie and shower accolades.

Rajni had reportedly told Bala: “I’m impressed and stunned with the presentation of the film… only you can make such a movie Bala…” Later he wished both Bala and Arya all success in their future projects.

A transcript of Rajini's letter, reproduced in English, is given below:

Never in the history of Tamil cinema has there been a film like Naan Kadavul. Generally, all of us know of films based on our lives, social issues, and political problems. But there are several issues left untouched in this world and society. It is, therefore, understandable that most of us would not be aware of the underworld mafia controlling the beggars and the life of the Agori Babas. Bala’s efforts and talent has ensured that these two aspects of our society are brought on screen excellently and easily understandable by the public. I convey my heartfelt wishes and bow my head in saluting this great director.

Having met several Agoris in the Himalayas during my visits, I appreciate the body language and acting skills of Arya. The music scored by Ilayaraja has a horripilate effect on me every time I hear it. The acting of all the differently disabled actors in the film had me literally in tears. An effort like this in Tamil has really made me proud. A film like this is impossible in the future. I wish all those who were associated with film and congratulate them.
