Dasavatharam presses panic button - reason is Kuselan

Dasa team presses panic button by releasing more stills and information.

Its not only Dasa team which has pressed panic button. Individuals
who are part of Dasa team have also pressed the panic button.

Ex-Oscar has announced about his next movie with Jackie Chan (?).
They found it very difficult to even get Chan for 24 hours to India
for the audio function. I'm seriously doubtful about these claims
as I feel it will be a red-herring for the distributors and theatre
owners, who are feeling the heat after the mixed response Dasa got.
May be Ex-Oscar wants to keep them happy by dangling a future carrot
that he will be producing a movie with Jackie Chan so that they can
look forward to distributing/ exhibiting them.

Another is the announcement of his next movie by the "other actor".
Whats the great urgency in announcing the next project now itself by
both these people? Unless the movie is not doing well & they want
to placate the distribtuion partners, there is no need to announce
it in a promotional event organised for Dasa.

Let us see some of the events in a chronological order:

June 13 - Dasa release

June 16 - Times Now reports that Dasa's collections have dropped
inspite of the excellant opening it had

June 16 - Ex-Oscar announces next project with Jackie Chan

June 17 - Kamal announces his next two projects in a Dasa promotion
event in Hyd.

June 18 - P.Vasu meets the press on Kuselan & releases Kuselan stills

June 19/20 - Dasa team releases fresh stills of the movie (to
counter the heat of Kuselan stills?)

June 21 - Kamal's next movie Marmayogi is slated to be launched on
July 13 in Mumbai, as per Sify

June 30 - The date Kuselan audio will be released announces P.Vasu

July 25 - The date Kuselan movie will be released announces P.Vasu

If you go thru the dates carefully, you will know the REASONS for
the above reactions & actions of the competitor and his camp.

All their new/sudden announcements have been in response to the
dynamic market situation which forces them to respond the way they
have done. But, if a mere release of Kuselan stills can make them
to press panic button, I don't know what will happen to their movie
when the Kuselan audio releases and subsequently, if there is a
trailer release & ultimately the release of Kuselan - the movie -
itself.

One thing is for sure - Dasa won't be running when Kuselan is
released.

With Luv,

Arun
