Yesterday, I volunteered to take him for a drive around san francisco. he is a nice friendly man. He shared so much of information about our thalivar. he said, person like rajinikath has never born and ever gonna born. When he was new to shivaji unit, he didnt receive a warm welcome from anyone in the set. Rajini, on first meeting him, greeted raja with a surprise, telling pattimandram tsunami and so on. From then on, raja enjoyed a great wecome in the set.
He says rajini is like a baby in heart, treats every person with care.
on raja's first shoot, raja had to take 12 takes. raja felt guilty of making star like rajini to wait for raja's 'ok take'. raja told shankar, that he feels bad that rajini is been waiting for my 'take ok'. I dont want this acting, pls let me go off. Rajini, intervened and said raja, I have done 150 films as hero, I myself taking 3 to 4 takes at times. its your first film. how can you and we expect you to do it in couple of takes. It will take time. I will wait, no problem. Rajini eased him so much and then on raja did his work good.
Their friendship still continues and SS used to call raja time to time. Raja, lives in madurai. Whenever raja receives a call after 10 pm, he would be sure, it is rajini. On the phone, rajni talks very fast for five minutes, asking about raja's life and things going on with him.
He showed me some pictures and vidio clippings of raja's pesonal meet with rajini. Believe me guys, rajini was so so so handsome in one of that video clipping. Handsome in the sense, without any makup, clean shaved and full bald head. I was stuck looking at that video clipping. I told raja, if you release this video out, it would be a hot news out in media in TN.
raja is associated with a tamil mandram in madurai. once, he met rajini for a donation to that mandram. rajini was excited and asked raja, how much do you expect. Raja said rajini, anything you wish. rajini said 1 lk hmm 1.5 lk hmm ok 3 lakhs. immediately signed the cheque and for 3 lakhs.
Raja and his people was surprised, Person who may not know much about tamil literature and anything about that tamil mandram, just like that offered 3 lakhs as donation. Do you think, anyone would give more then 10k for this mandram as donation. Raja completely fall flat by rajini.
Like these, raja shared so much of his experiences with rajini.
At the outset, raja clearly said that NO ONE in the industry can match rajini in all aspects.
