Rajinikanth starrer Kuselan will be shown at the Tokyo International Film Festival, starting in October. The Film Festival Committee has selected the film in popular actor category. The Chief operating officer of Pyramid Saimira, R.Venkat told that the pre-release response for the film in Japan is fantastic and it is simply equal to the trend prevails in Tamil Nadu.
After the Superstar's huge popularity following the success of Muthu in Japan, interest in his films is huge. Rajinikanth's 1995 film Muthu, dubbed in Japanese and renamed as The Dancing Maharaja was released in Japan in 1998. It ran for 288 days in multiple screens and collected a very huge amount, which was never expected by its producer K Balachander.
Knowing about Kuselan's participation in Tokyo Film Festival, Rajinikanth expressed his interest in attending the festival in coming October. Thousands of Rajini fans in Japan are also sending mails and letters to the Superstar to visit there country and participate in the festival.
